Fear Free certified
Fear Free is a certification for animal-care professionals in recognising the early signs of fear, anxiety and stress, and changing how they handle an animal before those signs get worse. For us it means the whole groom slows down on purpose. Breaks when your dog needs them, gentler restraint, and no pushing through a dog who has clearly had enough. We never sedate. That is the whole point.
Breed-specific styling
A Schnauzer is not a Spoodle and a Labrador is not a Husky. Every coat has its own cut, its own care and its own shedding pattern, and we style to the breed rather than running everyone through the same clip.
The same groomer every visit
Your dog sees the same person every time they come in. They learn the voice, the hands and the table, and over a few visits the salon stops being a strange place. Nobody is ever a stranger with clippers.

Bath, brush-out, breed-specific cut, ears, nails and a bandana to go home in.
Bath and tidy — from $45
Wash, dry, face and paw tidy, for dogs who do not need a full cut.
Nail trims — $15
Ten minutes, walk in, no appointment needed.
Deshedding treatments — from $35
For the double-coated breeds shedding through the house.

Who we groom
Anxious and reactive dogs
Tell us ahead of time and we plan the visit around your dog. Slower, quieter, more breaks. Many of our regulars arrived as the dog who “does not do groomers”.
Double-coated breeds
Labradors, Huskies, Shepherds, Border Collies, Retrievers and the rest. Regular deshedding and the right brushing between visits make a real difference to how much fur ends up on your couch.
Puppies
A calm, positive first groom sets a dog up for life. We keep early visits short and gentle, so the salon becomes a normal part of growing up rather than something to dread.
Cats
Cats are groomed here too, with the same unhurried approach. Cat grooming is not itemised on our price list, so give us a ring on 07 5476 8890 and we will talk it through.
The person behind the table
Bianca trained as a vet nurse before moving into grooming full time, and it changed how she works. Every dog gets read for stress before anything else happens. Wag & Wash is locally owned and operated, and every groom is done by us, in our salon, by hands your dog already knows.
